A LITTLE ABOUT MICHELLE

Born in Tucson, Arizona and raised in Eugene, Oregon I attended South Eugene High School. I majored in Accounting in college, I was Field Director for Camp Fire Boys and Girls for 15 years on the Southcoast of Oregon. After that I was the Director of Cartwheels Pre-School in the Coos Bay, Oregon area. I was Certified to instruct Early Childhood Development and I was the lead teacher in the Pre-School for 5 years. My final career was Office Manager, Exam Room Technician, and Insurance Billing Specialist for an Eye Doctor in Coos Bay for 7 years. I was a Certified ParaOptometric Assistant and a HIPAA Compliance Officer. In 2004 I was honored to receive the American Optometric Association's ParaOptometric Assistant of the Year.

I retired in December of 2005 and Kevin and I began travelling full time in an RV. In 2010 we bought a home and acreage near Hermiston, Oregon so that we could take care of Kevin's father. I enjoy gardening, genealogy, playing cards, my grand children, music, crocheting, our church related activities and traveling in an RV. I hold a General Amateur Radio License.

Our music takes us to Blue Mountain Old Time Fiddle Shows from March to October and we play at Assisted Living Centers throughout the year. When invited we get to play at county fairs and local community celebrations. Kevin says that I have my own groupies. I regularly have seniors who live at the assisted living centers who will seek me out when I am in town shopping and they express their pleasure if I was at their center the last time the musicians were there or their displeasure if something prevented us from being there.

Kevin and I married when we were young and he was in the Coast Guard. When it looked like he would probably receive orders for an isolated USCG Loran Station or Vietnam we decided to get married despite many of our friends telling us we were too young and that it would never last. Well last it has and he loves me just as much now as when we first met in Latin class in high school. I have always said that we were just too stubborn to let our friends be right.

If you see us out and about please stop us and say hello. Kevin put some songs up here to prove that his little server could support streaming videos.
